Polaris matchmakers are coming hard and fast with the announcements this week. Hot on the heels of yesterday’s announcement of matches, the organisation has today unveiled the preliminary card for Polaris 5.

Headlining the prelims will be a match between UK Grappling stalwart Valmyr Neto and leg lock pioneer Masakazu Imanari, in what should be an interesting stylistic clash between two veterans of the sport. Also featuring on the prelims will be Ffion Davies, who recently breezed through the Densetsu Female Grand Prix and is a former World and European IBJFF Champion. Davies will face Elvira Karppinen from 10th Planet Tampere, who was promoted to brown belt by Eddie Bravo in January.

Another 10th Planet exponent will also feature on Polaris 5, when Jamie Scott, head instructor of 10th Planet London, takes on ADCC and NAGA European Champion Tuomas Simola. Completing the line up of matches announced today is a bout between Carlson Gracie team’s River Blue Dillon and Miha Perhavec, who won via heel-hook at Polaris 4.
