Vaughan Lee was fortunate enough to be one of the few Brit’s that make it into the Ultimate Fighting Championship. After an eight fight stint with the promotion, he was released, and has fought once since then.

After going 0-3 in his first three fights, Lee turned his career around, and won six straight. Lee’s net loss came to Brad Pickett, and then the Englishman lost another fight, this time to David Lee. In his next seven fights, the Englishman went 5-1-1 and earned a call up to the UFC.

Lee debuted in the premier mixed martial arts promotion with a tight split decision loss to Chris Cariaso at UFC 178, that was before he submitted Norifumo Yamamoto at UFC 144. A second loss came in his third fight when he was submitted by former UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw. He continued his trend of winning one losing one when he defeated Motonobu Tezuka. Lee was then submitted by Raphael Assuncao, before taking a decision win over Nam Phann. The 34-year-old was cut from the UFC after losing two straight fights to Iuri Alcantara and Patrick Holohan.

Following his release from the UFC, Lee faced Rakhman Dudaev at Akhmat Fight Show 13; Lee lost the bout via Unanimous Decision. In his next contest, he faces Nathaniel Wood at Cage Warriors 82 in Liverpool this Saturday, April 1.
