A flyweight championship fight between current Cage Warriors Academy Flyweight Champion Liam Gittins and Abdul Choudhury is set to headline the Cage Warriors 88 Amateur Card.

Cage Warriors announced the news on social media.

Gittins (10-2) is the #1 ranked amateur in the United Kingdom. He has wins over some of the best amateurs in the country including Jake Hadley, and John Hughes. He won the CW Academy flyweight title at CW Academy NW 1, when he defeated Ciaran Mulholland via decision. Gittins then faced John Hughes at the shows’ second event, and again won via decision.

Choudhury (6-2) is also one of the top amateurs in the country, and currently sits at #13 in the rankings. Following a 5-0 start to his amateur career, the SBG fighter has gone 1-2 in his last three. His first defeat came at the hands of John James Young via decision at UKFC 2. Choudhury then defeated Khalid Patel before being submitted by Jack Temple at AFC 4.

Cage Warriors 88 takes place live from the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England on Saturday, October 28. The card is set to be headlined by a lightweight championship fight between Chris Fishgold and Alexander Jacobsen.
