The first fight for the highly anticipated Cage Warriors’ card in Liverpool on April 1st has been announced. Lee Chadwick will face Tommy Quinn inside the Echo Arena.

Chadwick announced the news on Twitter, saying this:

Chadwick (21-13-1) is one of the more well known fighters on the UK MMA scene, and has competed over 30-times professionally. Chadwick fights out of ASW. Prior to his last fight, where he was stopped by Ibragim Chuzhigaev at ACB Glasgow, the Englishman was riding a two fight win streak with stoppages over Brad Carter and Andrej Bochorz respectively.

Quinn (6-3) is one the wrong end of the experience ladder in this fight, the M4TC and Cage Warriors veteran has fought nine times, compared to Chadwick’s 35 contests. Quinn went 4-0 in his first four bouts, before losing to Jack Mason at Cage Warriors 47. He got back on track with two victories over Philip Mulpeter and Dan Hope. Quinn has lost his last two fights.

UPDATE: Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan has informed The Sprawl’s John King via text that this fight is not confirmed. “As of today, that fight is just fantasy match making John,” said Boylan. The Irishman then went on to say “I’ve cleared nothing nor seen any contracts”

Cage Warriors return to Liverpool on April 1st, following the roaring success of Cage Warriors 78. Cage Warriors Featherweight and Lightweight Champions Paddy Pimblett and Chris Fishgold will feature on the card.
