It had already been confirmed that CWFC champions Paddy Pimblett (13-1) and Chris Fishgold (16-1-1) would return to the Echo Arena In Liverpool for Cage Warriors 82 in April, but only one had an opponent confirmed.
Until now.
Fishgold will face Finnish grappler, Jani Salmi (9-2) – a name UK fans may be familiar with, having defeated Sean Carter back in 2015. Salmi will be competing outside of Finland for the first time in his eleven-fight career when he steps into the cage at the Echo Arena.
This will be the Liverpudlian’s third defence of the lightweight belt since claiming the vacant title just eight months ago.
Cage Warriors 82 takes place at the Echo Arena, Liverpool on April 1. Tickets are available HERE.
