Welshman John Phillips was set to make his highly anticipated UFC debut at UFC on FOX 23, but he has been forced to withdraw from the fight after problems with attaining a VISA.
The Sprawl reported yesterday that Phillips was out of the bout due to an injury, but Phillips confirmed that he was not injured. He is still out of the bout though, as he has had some VISA issues. He said this on Facebook:
The outlet also confirmed a new opponent for Marcos Rogerio de Lima, who was initially set to face Phillips in a light heavyweight bout; That opponent is Jeremy Kimball.
