UFC Fight Night 106 is in the books. The event was the first of 2016, and although it didn’t look like the greatest card on paper, it weren’t actually too bad.
The event featured 12 fights, three of which were at heavyweight, one light heavyweight bout, one welterweight scrap, three lightweight match-ups, one featherweight fight, one bantamweight bout, one flyweight encounter, and one women’s strawweight fight.
During the event, we saw six finishes, two of which were submissions, with the other four being stoppages with strikes.
Following the event, two Performance of the Night bonuses were given out with one Fight of the Night bonus also being awarded. A preliminary scrap between Frankie Saenz and Augusto Mendes won the FOTN, while headliner Yair Rodriguez and heavyweight Oleksiy Oliynyk picked up POTN bonuses.
