A pivotal lightweight match-up between #3 ranked Tony Ferguson and #9 ranked Michael Chiesa has been made official for UFC Fight Night 91. The bout is set to headline the card.

The fight was made official by the UFC during the broadcast of UFC Rotterdam.

Ferguson (20-3 MMA, 10-1 UFC) is currently on the best form of his career, and is riding a 7-fight win streak. Ferguson has been campaigning for a title shot for what seems like forever, but he may just get it if he can get past Michael Chiesa. “El Cucuy” has finished five of his last seven wins and is coming off a back and forth war with Edson Barboza, which he eventually won via submission. The Californian also has four post fight bonuses in his last seven.

Chiesa (14-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) has also looked better than ever before, and has his own three fight winning streak, too. “Maverick” rebounded from his controversial loss to Joe Lauzon by taking home a decision victory over Mitch Clarke before submitting Jim Miller and Beneil Dariush. Both Ferguson and Chiesa are winners of The Ultimate Fighter. Ferguson won Season 13 while Chiesa took home a contract after winning Season 15.

UFC Fight Night 91 takes place live from the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on July 13.
