SBG Ireland’s Paul Byrne has announced he will be trying out for The Ultimate Fighter on May 23rd. It is expected to be for the 26th season of the show.
Byrne (6-2) excited the UK MMA scene in his first six fights, winning all six and finishing everybody that stepped into the cage with him. Following a first round stoppage over Conor Cooke at BAMMA 22, Byrne was stopped by Ronan McKay at Clan Wars 23 before succumbing to Andy DeVent’s strikes in under a minute at BAMMA 24.
The Irishman admitted to The Sprawl’s John King in an interview last year that he had been seeking help for mental health issues.
