A welterweight bout between Ryan LaFlare and Alex Oliveira has been added to UFC on FOX 25.
The promotion announced the bout yesterday.
LaFlare (13-1) joined the UFC with a 7-0 record, and won his first four UFC bouts, all by decision. His first professional loss came at the hands of Demian Maia, but the 33-year-old rebounded with two straight wins over Mike Pierce and most recently Roan Carneiro.
Oliveira (17-4-1) is undefeated in his four fights, picking up three wins with one No Contest. “Cowboy’s” last lost was to Donald Cerrone, who shares the nickname “Cowboy” with him. Oliveira has fought at both welterweight and lightweight, but it now seems like he will be sticking at 170lbs.
UFC on FOX 25 takes place live from the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York, on July 22. The card is headlined by a middleweight bout between Chris Weidman and Kelvin Gastelum.
