A rumour is circulating that Ronda Rousey is set to return to the Octagon against Amanda Nunes at UFC 207.

@TalkMMA on Twitter, who has reported, and confirmed many news stories before, claims the fight may be in discussions for UFC 207.

Nunes (13-4 MMA, 6-1 UFC) went 2-1 in his first three bouts inside the UFC, defeating Sheila Gaff and Germaine de Randamie before losing to Cat Zingano at UFC 178. Rebounding from the loss, Nunes stopped Shayna Baszler inside one round. “The Lioness” then came up against Sara McMann, and picked up another first round stoppage. Following two first round stoppages, Nunes faced highly touted Valentina Shevchenko, and won the bout via unanimous decision. Coming off a victory at UFC 196, and riding a three fight win streak, Nunes faced Miesha Tate for the title at UFC 200. Nunes hurt Tate on the feet before submitting her in the first round to become the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion.

Rousey (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) came over to the UFC as the final Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion and debuted at UFC 157, submitting Liz Carmouche in the first round and making the first defence of her UFC Bantamweight title. Rousey then faced Miesha Tate for a second time and was taken out of the first round for the firs time, submitting Tate with her signature armbar in the third round. Rousey then stopped Sara McMann and Alexis Davis with punches before submitting Cat Zingano in just :14 seconds. At UFC 190, Rousey faced bitter rival Bethe Correia, and finished the fight in :34 seconds. In her last outing, Rousey was violently knocked out by Holly Holm at UFC 193.

UFC 207 takes place live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Dec. 30.
