A Welterweight fight between Randy Brown and Belal Muhammad is official for UFC 208. This comes after George Sullivan was pulled from the fight against Brown.
MMAFighting.com announced the news.
Brown (9-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) was discovered on Dana White series “Lookin’ for a Fight” and won his promotional debut via decision, topping Matt Dwyer. In his second bout, the Jamaican was tapped by Michael Graves at UFC Tampa. Since the loss, Brown has won two straight; he submitted Erick Montao at UFC Hidalgo before most recently stopping Brian Camozzi at UFC Albany.
Muhammad (10-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) made a name for himself in his UFC debut, when he stepped in on short notice to face Alan Jouban at UFC Vegas. Muhammad lost the bout via decision, but managed to stay in the fight even after being knocked down on numerous occasions. In his second bout, he picked up a win over Augusto Montano, winning via third round TKO at UFC Hidalgo. In his most recent bout, Muhammad was on the end of a surprising finish, as he was stopped by Vicente Luque in just over one minute.
UFC 208 takes place live from the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York on February 8, 2017. The card is set to be headlined by a women’s featherweight title fight between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie.
