Jose Aldo releases statement following UFC 212 loss

Long time featherweight kingpin Jose Aldo lost his championship this past weekend at UFC 212. The Brazilian was stopped by Max Holloway in the third round after two promising rounds.

The loss is his second in three fights, with Aldo being left out cold by Conor McGregor at UFC 194, where he lost the title. The 30-year-old defeated Frankie Edgar by decision in the fight before his most recent.

Aldo, who defended the UFC belt seven times, after being promoted to the champion when the UFC took over the WEC; He was WEC featherweight champion at the time.

Following the loss, the Nova Unaio product released a statement, read it below.
