Jordan Rinaldi has stepped in to face Abel Trujillo at UFC Fight Night 88 following the removal of Carlos Diego Ferreira due to a potential anti-doping violation.

The news was announced on Tuesday by the UFC.

Trujillo (14-6 (1NC) MMA, 5-2 (1NC) UFC) has made his name as an aggressive, hard hitting fighter who will not take a step back. “Killa” made his promotional debut with a TKO victory over Marcus LeVesseur before losing a decision to Khabib Nurmagomedov. Following the loss, Trujillo faced Roger Bowling, but the fight was forced to a halt when Trujillo landed an illegal knee and Bowling was rendered unable to continue. Trujillo then went on to pick up two stoppages, the first in a heated rematch against Roger Bowling and the second in a Fight of the Year contender vs. Jamie Varner at UFC 169. Trujillo then fought Tony Ferguson at UFC 181, but was submitted in the second round. The Blackzilians product is currently riding a two fight win streak with a DQ victory over Gleison Tibau and a submission victory over Tony Sims.

Rinaldi (12-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has compiled a record of 12-4 and has fought names such as Dennis Bermudez, Brian Ortega and James Moontasri, all of whom are currently fighting in the UFC. “All Day” is currently riding a five fight win streak with three stoppages; all submissions. Rinaldi started the win streak with a decision victory over Joe Elmore before submitting Soslan Abanokov at WSOF 17. Rinaldi followed up the submission with another decision victory, this time over Diego Saraiva. In October of 2015, Rinaldi submitted Clay Harvison before submitting Lashawn Alcocks with an armbar in December of 2015.

UFC Fight Night 88 takes place live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 29, 2016. The card is set to be headlined by a pivotal bantamweight scrap between Cody Garbrandt and Thomas Almeida.
