Englishman Jimi Manuwa faced Corey Anderson in the UFC London Main Event moments ago, and picked up one of the biggest wins of his career.

Manuwa left Anderson face down in the octagon in the first round, after connecting with two left hooks moments apart. The first left hook was a short, sharp shot that caught “Overtime” as he was feinting a takedown. Anderson dropped to one knee momentarily, but bounced back up. Manuwa then started to chase his opponent down, and finished the fight with the next punch he threw. A glancing left hook stiffened Anderson’s legs, before he slumped face first into the canvas.

The 37-year-old didn’t even have to finish up on the ground, as he walked away with a facial expression as if to say ‘I told you so’. A big win for the Brit, maybe the biggest of his career, but perhaps more impressive than the performance itself, was his post fight interview.

Speaking to Dan Hardy in the cage, Manuwa first said he wants to fight the winner of the UFC 210 main event between current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson, and then he made a call out nobody was expecting. “David Haye, let’s get it on.” Said Manuwa, to the surprise of pretty much everybody watching, and in the arena.

Hardy asked whether he’d like to face David Haye in an MMA or Boxing fight, and Manuwa answered, “Boxing. Dana White, Eddie Hearn, let’s get this thing done!”
