A women’s bantamweight contest between Irene Aldana and Katlyn Chookagian has been added to UFC 210, which takes place in Buffalo.

The UFC announced the news on Friday evening.

Aldana (7-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) has made appearances under the Jungle Fight and Invicta banner, and is now fighting for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. She started her professional career 3-0 before being stopped by now former UFC fighter Larissa Pacheco in a title fight at Jungle Fight 63. She rebounded from the loss by tapping Peggy Morgan in her Invicta debut before doing the exact same to Colleen Schneider at Invicta FC 11. Aldana was then given a title shot, and fought for the interim title against Tonya Evinger, but was stopped in the fourth round of the bout. The Mexican then stopped Jessamyn Duke and Faith Van Duin before debuting in the UFC, and dropping a decision to Leslie Smith.

Chookagian (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) spent the majority of her early fights competing at flyweight, and after winning the CFFC Flyweight belt, she moved up to bantamweight and won that  belt too. The 28-year-old then got the call to fight for the UFC, and defeated Lauren Murphy in her debut. In her most recent outing, “Blonde Fighter” suffered her first professional defeat, when she was narrowly beaten by Liz Carmouche, losing via split decision.

UFC 210 takes place live from the Keybank Center in Buffalo, New York on April 8, 2017. The card is set to be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson.
