UFC Heavyweight Luis Henrique has been pulled from next weeks UFC 208 event due to complications with the New York State Athletic Commission.

MMAJunkie reported the news earlier this week, and MMAFighting.com confirmed it today.

The NYSAC said in a statement that Henrique did not fully go through its process before his license application was drawn.

The Brazilian fighter told MMAFighting that his removal was down to a medical condition, even though he has fought with the same condition and been cleared by all other commissions.

UFC 208 takes place live from the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York on February 11, 2017. The card is set to be headlined by a women’s featherweight title fight between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie.
