According to a report by The Los Angeles Daily News featherweight bout between Hacran Dias and Brian Ortega has been added to UFC Fight Night 96, which takes place in Portland, Oregon.
Dias (23-4-1 MMA, 3-3 UFC) debuted in the UFC with a decision victory over Iuri Alcantara before dropping decisions to Nik Lentz and Ricardo Lamas respectively. Following the losses, the Brazilian took decisions over Darren Elkins and Levan Makashvili. In his most recent outing, Dias lost a decision at the hands of Cub Swanson.
Ortega (11-0, 1NC MMA, 3-0, 1NC UFC) has managed to maintain his perfect record since joining the UFC, in his debut he submitted Mike de la Torre but after a failed drug test the result was overturned to a No Contest. Following the failed drug test, Ortega stopped Brad Tavares in the third round of a fight that earned Fight of the Night honours. ‘T-City’ then submitted Diego Brandao at UFC 195 before stopping Clay Guida in the last round of their bout at UFC 199.
UFC Fight Night 96 takes place live from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on October 1.
