McLellan (13-5 MMA, 1-3 UFC) debuted in the UFC following a six fight win streak on EFC Africa. That streak was snapped in his first UFC bout though, as he lost a decision to Bartosz Fabinski. In his second UFC outing, McLellan topped Bubba Bush in the third round of their bout at UFC Dublin. The 35-year-old faced Magnus Cedenblad in his first fight of 2016, but was stopped in the second round. In his most recent outing, “Soldierboy” dropped a split decision loss to Alessio Di Chirico at UFC Vancouver.
Costa (8-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has won all eight of his professional bouts, and has finished every one of them. On record, his first three fights are just recorded as TKO victories, without a round or time, so we don’t what round they were in. What we do know, however, is that his last five victories have come in the first round. Costa was the Jungle Fight middleweight champion before signing with the UFC, and stopped Adriano Balby in his final title defense at Jungle Fight 90.
UFC Fight Night 106 takes place live from the Centro de Formação Olímpica do Nordeste in Fortaleza, Brazil on March 11th, 2017. The card is set to be headlined by a middleweight encounter between Vitor Belfort and Kelvin Gastelum.
