UFC Flyweight Neil Seery announced his withdrawal from his scheduled fight against Ian McCall earlier today due to the death of his mother in law; he said this on Facebook:

Less than 24-hours later, the Ultimate Fighting Championship have found, and announced a new opponent to face McCall.

McCall (13-5-1) has not fought since January of 2015, but has had numerous complications that have led to the cancellations of scheduled fights. Since his last fight, which was a loss to Brazilian powerhouse John Lineker, McCall has had five fights fall through. Dustin Ortiz, Justin Scoggins, Ray Borg and now Neil Seery twice.

Brooks (12-0) has fought at bantamweight, flyweight, and strawweight in his twelve fight professional career. The 23-year-old has only went the distance five times and is coming off a TKO victory over Jun Nakamura at Pancrase 281. Brooks fought five times in 2016, winning all five, two by TKO, three by submission and one by decision.

UFC 208 takes place live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on February 11, 2017. The card is set to be headlined by a women’s featherweight title fight between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie.
