A welterweight bout between Erick Silva and Yancy Medeiros has been added to UFC 212, which takes place in Brazil.

Mario Morgunoff reported the news on Twitter.

Silva (19-7 1NC MMA, 7-6 UFC) has had a rollercoaster UFC career to say the least. The Brazilian has a habit of winning one losing one, but that has changed in recent times. Two wins in a row came against Mike Rhodes and Josh Koscheck, before Silva lost two straight, versus Neil Magny and Nordine Taleb. In his most recent outing, Silva defeated Luan Chagas.

Medeiros (13-4 1NC MMA, 4-4 1NC UFC) has a similar habit of winning one losing one. He didn’t taste victory in his first three UFC fights, losing twice, with one being ruled a no contest due to a failed drug test. Medeiros then picked up two straight wins before going on the up and down win then lose spiral.

UFC 212 takes place live from the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 3, 2017. The card is set to be headlined by a featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Max Holloway.
