A 140lbs catchweight bout between Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino and Lina Lansberg is apparently being targeted for the main event of UFC Fight Night 95, which takes place in Brazil.
Brazilian outlet UOL reported the news first.
‘Cyborg’ (16-1, 1NC MMA, 1-0 UFC) was regarded as the best female athlete outside of the UFC for a long time, but she finally made her promotional debut in May of this year. ‘Cyborg’ fought Leslie Smith at UFC 198 in a catchweight bout. The pair agreed on a weight of 140lbs. Cyborg stopped Smith in just 81-seconds in her home country of Brazil.
Lansberg (6-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is yet to fight in the UFC, and is in for a rude welcoming when she meets ‘Cyborg’ in Brazil. “Elbow Princess” is from Malmo, Sweden, and has won six straight since losing her first professional bout. Lansberg has fought on Cage Warriors twice and has a victory over TUF contestant Laura Howarth.
UFC Fight Night 95 takes place live from the Ginasio Nilson Nelson in Brasilia, Brazil.
