Cage Warriors veteran Darren “The Dentist” Stewart has signed for the UFC, and is set to make his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 100 against Francimar Barroso

Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan announced the news over Twitter.

Stewart (7-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) went 2-0 as an amatuer with decision victories at Cage Warriors 52 and Cage Warriors 56 respectively. “The Dentist” made his professional debut in June of 2014 with a first round TKO victory over Michael Ravenscroft at Cage Warriors 69 before stopping Pelu Adetola in the third round of their bout at Cage Warriors 74. In 2015, Stewart went 3-0 with victories over Lloyd Clarkson, Carl Winslow, and Gregory Pierre. Stewart is currently 2-0 in 2016, with stoppage victories coming over James Hurrell and Boubacar Balde.

Barroso (18-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) made his UFC debut before Stewart had even stepped foot in the cage as a professional fighter, defeating Ednaldo Oliveira at UFC 163. Barroso’s second UFC bout didn’t go to plan, as he lost a split decision to Hans Stringer at UFC Fight Night 38. The Brazilian got back to winning ways at UFC Goiania, walking away with a decision victory over Ryan Jimmo. At UFC Fight Night 81, Barroso defeated Elvis Mutaptic via decision. In his most recent outing, Barroso was submitted by Nikita Krylov at UFC Rotterdam.

UFC Fight Night 100 takes place live from the Ginasio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Nov. 19. The card is set to be headlined by a light heavyweight fight between Ryan Bader and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
