A bantamweight fight between Welshman Brett Johns  and Canadian Mitch Gagnon  has been announced for UFC Fight Night 113, which takes place in Glasgow.

BBC first revealed the news.

Johns (13-0-0) is eager to get back into the cage after his bout with Ian Entwistle, which was scheduled for UFC London, was scrapped after weigh ins due to Entwistle’s health problems. In his first, and only UFC bout, “The Pikey” defeated the previously undefeated Kwan Ho Kwak by decision at UFC Belfast.

Gagnon (12-4-0), 32, may well be fighting for his job come July 16. The Ontario native has lost consecutive contests to former bantamweight kingpin Renan Barao and more recently Matthew Lopez. Prior to the losses, Gagnon had won four straight bouts.

UFC Fight Night 113 takes place live from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday, July 16, 2017.
