A middleweight contest between Jack Hermansson and Brad Scott is set to take place at UFC Fight Night 114.
Scott announced the bout over Facebook, posting this:
In the comments of the post, the Englishman confirmed he was fighting Hermansson.
Hermansson (15-3) was the Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion prior to signing with the UFC, he defended the belt twice. In his UFC debut, the Swedish fighter took a competitive decision victory over Englishman Scott Askham, before losing via submission to Cezar Ferreira at UFC Fight Night 100. He rebounded from the loss with a first round stoppage win over Alex Nicholson at UFC Fight Night 109.
Scott (11-4) took a split decision win over Scott Askham in his most recent outing. Prior to the win, “Bear” had gone 2-3 with the promotion, maintaining a consistently inconsistent one win one loss pattern. His wins have came over Michael Kuiper, Dylan Andrews, and the aforementioned Askham. Robert Whittaker, Caludio Silva, and Krzysztof Jotko are the men to have beaten him in the UFC.
UFC Fight Night 114 takes place live from the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico on August 5, 2017. The card is set to be headlined by a flyweight bout between Sergio Pettis and Brandon Moreno.
