In a surprise turn of events, a flyweight out between Brandon Moreno and Sergio Pettis has been announced as the headliner for UFC Fight Night 114.
Indiscutido’s Rodrigo Del Campo first reported the news.
Moreno (14-3) has only fought three times in the UFC, and has won all three. The Mexican has defeated Louis Smolka, Ryan Benoit, and most recently Dustin Ortiz.
Pettis (15-2) has done a good job of making a name of his own since being mostly known as the brother of Anthony Pettis upon first joining the UFC. In 8 bouts, the 125lb fighter has amassed a record of 6-2.
UFC Fight Night 114 takes place live from the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico, on August 5, 2017.
