Looks like Paul Daley vs. Michael ‘Venom’ Page isn’t happening then 🙁

That’s fine though, because Paul Daley vs. Rory MacDonald IS 🙂

Bellator MMA have just announced that the bout will headline their London show, set to take place at the SSE Arena, Wembley in May.

Daley is, of course, coming off of a devastating KO finish of Brennan Ward at Bellator 170 last month. The flying knee KO put an early end to the night and a rather large dent in the face of Ward. Many had expected to see Daley face ‘MVP’ following the victory, with Page going on something of a social media campaign to make the fight happen.

MacDonald is set to make his first appearance in the promotion since moving over from the UFC. The Canadian most recently dropped a disappointing decision to current title challenger, Stephen Thompson in a somewhat lacklustre performance, punctuated by a series of fruitless Iminari rolls. MacDonald is riding a two-fight win streak having previously come up short against former champion Robbie Lawler in one of the fights of 2015.

Bellator 170 goes down on May 19 at the SSE Arena, Wembley in London.
