Long-time UFC Heavyweight Roy Nelson has left the promotion following his 19th fight with the promotion.

Ariel Helwani first reported the news.

Nelson (22-14) is 2-2 in his last four, and lost his last fight to Alexander Volkov at UFC Kansas. “Big Country” has some massive wins on his record, holding victories over names such as Stefan Struve, Matt Mitrione, and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

Following his loss to Alexander Volkov, the BJJ black belt’s contract expired, and following a 9-10 stint, the Ultimate Fighting Championship decided not to offer him a new contract.

No official date is set for the 40-year-old’s debut, but Nelson has signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion.
