Rising UK MMA featherweight Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett teased an announcement on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour today. The recently crowned Cage Warriors featherweight champion was tight-lipped when it came to details, stating that he couldn’t give any information right now.

“I’ve signed something with an organisation. It’s big money,” said Pimblett.

As much as Helwani tried, ‘The Baddy’ wasn’t giving anything away. “I can’t say just yet, you aren’t going to get it out of me!”

Despite alluding to a deal outside of his current promotion, Cage Warriors, Pimblett added that it could be a title shot in CWFC.

As expected, the Scouser had a few choice words for UFC featherweight champion, Conor McGregor: “He said he’s here to takeover, well I’m here to conquer.”

Many expected the announcement that Pimblett had signed with the UFC to be dropped on the show, something Helwani steered towards over and over. Though it was never explicitly stated, the evidence still points towards a move to the biggest stage in MMA.

“I would be available for UFC Belfast, we’ll see what happens.”

Pimblett has some choice words for UK newspaper The Sun, as always, when explaining the Hillsborough disaster of 1989 and the Justice for the 96 campaign.

“A newspaper called the Sun lied through its teeth. I’ll never forgive The Sun.”
