Today The Sprawl exclusively reveals the rematch between rivals Rob McAdam (2-1) and Ben Linihan (1-2) is rescheduled for Warrior Fight Series 7.

The two previously fought at Warrior Fight Series 5 11-months back, with McAdam taking the win via TKO in round three, due to a series of unanswered punches from the mount. There was controversy pre-fight however, as McAdam was unable to make the 155lb lightweight limit, forcing Warrior Fight Series to change the contest to a welterweight bout.

32-year old McAdam will be training for the rematch at Asylum Vale Tudo, after relocating to Birstall in West Yorkshire. McAdam doesn’t think the change of scenery will affect the result:

“I’m confident I’ll win again as I dominated our first fight and I don’t even know why he wanted a rematch after what happened the first time around. Ben, I’m just the better man in this match up and I’ll prove it again and again if I have to.”

Linihan, 24, has also opted to switch camps in preparation for the bout and will be training at Diesel Gym/10th Planet London under the tutelage Tom Wincott and Eddie Bravo brown belt Jamie Scott. He had this to say on the matchup:

“If he’s expecting the same version of me then he’s an idiot. I’ve been working non-stop this past year on the holes in my game that he was able to exploit, whilst he has been jumping around in clubs with his top off with people half his age trying to chase his youth. I’m 100% confident in finishing him wherever the fight goes. Fuck your boy.”

Current Warrior Fight Series 7 card (subject to change):

Alex Montagnani vs. Jamie Sloane
Jefferson George vs. Jay Dods
Jay Butler vs. Richie Edwards
Rob Scott vs. Tony Hall
Ashley Williams vs. Jawany Scott
Aidan James vs. Kingsley Crawford
Scott Pedersen vs. Joshua Onwordi
Rob McAdam vs. Ben Linihan

Warrior Fight Series 7 is scheduled for March 25th at the York Hall in London.
