You probably know what the fighters are like inside the cage, however, we’re guessing you don’t really know them Outside The Cage.

We pitched five ‘favourite’ questions to two of the fighters competing at BCMMA 18 tomorrow night.

Tyrell vs. Jackson

Film?

Bryony Tyrell: My favourite film at the moment is Hangover 2 because it reminds me of some of the nights out I’ve had, lol.

Kate Jackson: I’m not sure I have a favourite film at the moment, but I used to watch the first few X-Men films obsessively when I was a teenager and I’ll still happily go and see them now. What fighter doesn’t wish they had healing powers like Wolverine!

TV Show?

Tyrell: The TV show I’m watching now is Orange is the New Black. My husband seems to like it too and I’m sure that has nothing to do with the lesbian scenes…

Jackson: I love Game of Thrones, I started reading them as a teenager (and skipped the boring chapters!) and it’s cool to see them come to life, albeit pretty fucked up as well.

Food?

Tyrell: My favourite food is definitely Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream. It’s the love of my life and can’t wait to have some after the fight!

Jackson: That one’s easy: doughnuts. Specifically jam ones from Morrisons and Italian wood fired pizza.

Song?

Tyrell: My favourite song is Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen. It’s the track I walked out to for my first pro fight.

Jackson: Which reminds me, I haven’t sorted my workout music yet! Again, somewhat shamefully, I’ve liked Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Bad Moon Rising since it played at the end of the final episode of the first season of Supernatural.

Fighter?

Tyrell: TJ Dillashaw. I love his footwork and movement, that’s how I’d like to fight.

Jackson: It’s sooooo hard to pick, most recently I guess I was really impressed by Cody Garbrandt’s amazing performance against Dominick Cruz.

Bryony Tyrell and Kate Jackson are set to compete at BCMMA 18 tomorrow. The event takes place at the Charter Hall, Colchester.
