SHINOBI Amateur Welterweight Champion Mark Kinsella has officially vacated his championship, and has made the jump to professional. The MMA Academy product will face Mick Stanton in his professional debut.

Kinsella (7-0 AM) made his amateur debut in 2013 with a stoppage victory over Dan Riley before stopping Lou O’Hara. In his third bout, the Liverpudlian appeared on SHINOBI for the first time, with a decision victory over Phil Woods at SHINOBI WAR 4. Following that, he took another decision, this time over Bence Nyiri at FCC 12 before stopping Arthur Jacob in the main event of SHINOBI WAR 6 to capture the vacant SHINOBI Amateur Welterweight Title. Kinsella then faced Chris Senior at FCC 15, and won the amateur welterweight title there. In his most recent outing, “Kinny” defended his FCC title for the first time with a split decision victory over James Reedman at FCC 17.

Stanton (1-0 PRO) went 5-4 as an amateur, with four stoppage victories. “Stano”, who trains out of the ‘HAMMA’ gym, made his professional debut at SHINOBI WAR 9, where he faced Danny Nash. Stanton managed to earn a stoppage victory with ten seconds remaining in the first round.
