Ian Williams and Tim Wilde will fight for the FCC Featherweight Championship at FCC 18. The fight will serve as the main event.

The promotion announced the news on Facebook.

Williams (6-3) is 4-0 in his last four, opposed to Wilde’s 2-2. Three of those four victories came in 2016, with the other in the year prior. A 29-second submission over Mike Castell at FCC 14 was followed by another first round submission, this time over Dan Gibbon at FCC 15. The Welshman then stopped Manuel Bernal in the co-main event of ICE FC 13, before most recently taking a decision victory over Irishman Denis Ahern at ICE FC 18.

Wilde (9-3) was seemingly next in line for a Cage Warriors Lightweight Championship Fight against current champion Chris Fishgold, but the Englishman fell at the last hurdle, losing to Alexander Jacobsen at Cage Warriors 80. That loss was surprising in many ways; not only was Wilde a big favourite, but he had been dominating the fight and had hardly been touched. That was a perfect time to bring up the old phrase “It only takes one shot”. Prior to that loss, Wilde defeated Mickael Lebout via unanimous decision at Cage Warriors 78.

Full Contact Contender 18 takes place live from the Macron Stadium in Bolton, England on Saturday, April 15.
