Multiple sources have informed The Sprawl that BAMMA Light Heavyweight Champion Paul ‘Bearjew’ Craig is out of his bout against Chris Fields in the main event of BAMMA 26.
Craig was set to make the first defense of the light heavyweight title he won at BAMMA 23 against Fields, who is coming off a first round submission victory over Dan Konecke in the main event of BAMMA’s third trip to Dublin. The Sprawl were told that Craig has torn a ligament in his ankle and will have to pull out of the bout.
The Sprawl reached out to BAMMA but the promotion refused to comment on the situation.
