BAMMA 25 takes place this Saturday on May 14 and is set to be one of the most stacked cards UKMMA has ever witnessed. The card features four title fights and an array of entertaining, and explosive bouts.

I thought I’d gather the opinions of some MMA Media Members before Saturday’s card and see what they thought of the upcoming card.

John King, Staff Writer for The Sprawl: “It honestly amazes me that BAMMA has so much talent. There is so many guys on the BAMMA roster that could easily fight in the UFC. From experienced veterans to promising up and comers, BAMMA have it all. Not only do BAMMA put on the best fights you can find in UKMMA, they do it on a pretty regular basis. The promotion held six events in 2015, and although that may not seem like much for a UFC fan, it is great for UK MMA. BAMMA really separate themselves from the rest by signing well known names. I could look at almost every fighter on the BAMMA 25 card and tell you a little bit about them. Along with putting on superb fights, BAMMA always make their events look flawless. From the backroom staff that nobody ever sees, to the officials out by the cage, everybody is extremely hard working and it really does make for a smoothly run show. BAMMA make every event look professional, and in my mind, are without doubt the best promotion in Europe.

Thomas Young, Videographer for The Sprawl:“BAMMA 25 on paper looks very promising indeed. On paper, it is up there as one of the best domestic events we’ve seen in some time. While Diakiese vs. Mousah has stolen the show, the card is stacked with intriguing fights.”

Nick Baldwin, Staff Writer for BloodyElbow:BAMMA has been putting on several excellent cards with high-level MMA recently, but BAMMA 25 is undoubtedly one of the best cards the organisation has put on in quite some time. The event, which goes down this weekend, includes a handful of title fights and is topped off by a Bantamweight title fight between Bantamweight champ Shay Walsh and Featherweight champ Tom Duquesnoy. That is not just the best 135-pound fight the British organisation can make, but also one of the best bantamweight match-ups in all of MMA. Top to bottom, BAMMA 25 is a thrilling card and I’m really looking forward to tuning in on Saturday.”

James Saddington, Managing Editor for The Sprawl: “Arguably one of the better domestic shows ever put together. For those that dig even the slightest bit deeper, this holds significantly more intrigue than the annual UFC offering. From top to bottom, it’s a solid show. It’s hard to pick particular points of interest, but I’ll be looking to see how Aspinall, Grundy and Austin fare – and I’m an outspoken critic of heavyweights in general.

Harry Williams, Staff Writer for YourMMA: “It’s arguably the strongest card in UK MMA this year and the extra attention on Diakiese vs. Mousah only further pushes the excitement for it. Diakiese vs. Mousah is the bout with the most attention to it. I’d like to see that placed further up the card because of that. I also think bouts like Ronnie Mann vs. Graham Turner and Jai Herbert vs. Tony Morgan should be further up the card.”

Jim Edwards, Staff Writer for Daily Mirror: “The majority of the MMA community may already have their eyes on Curitiba, Brazil this weekend but they should make sure they take the time to check out what’s going on in Birmingham this week beforehand. It has all the makings for a classic night of fights with titles on the line, future stars, and bad blood all in the mix. If you watch only one fight from BAMMA this weekend, make sure its Diakiese vs. Mousah. These two simply don’t like each other and it should be a great fight with two of the UK’s finest lightweights putting it all on the line. Miss BAMMA this weekend – you miss out!”

Jade Morris, Journalist: “BAMMA 25 is the biggest card of the year without doubt. This one certainly is a must see.”

Andreas Georgiou, Host of War of The Words: “The BAMMA 25 card quite simply, is European card of the year. Four title fights including the chance that we may see the first BAMMA duel-weight champion in Tom Duquesnoy if he can beat Shay Walsh. There are so many fantastic match-ups, so many that people are overlooking a huge portion of the card. Bouts like Freakshow vs. Gahadza, Stapleton vs. Lapilus, and Arthur vs. Else are receiving less love but still have the ability to produce fireworks. Oh, and who can not love the fact we may finally get some closure on the intense Diakiese and Mousah rivalry, hopefully.”

BAMMA 25 takes place live from the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham, England this Saturday on May 14. The preliminary card will be streamed live on the Lonsdale Facebook Page from 7pm-9pm and the main card will be streamed live on Sherdog.
