It seems like Bellator can’t go a week without a fight changing on their upcoming cards recently, and this week is proving to be no different. After the announcement last week that Sergei Khartinov would be fighting on Bellator 154 this Saturday against Josh Appelt in the co-main event of that card, the fight has had to be called off due to an undisclosed illness that has forced Khartinov to pull out of the fight and on such short notice, Bellator have chosen to take Appelt of the card rather than throw in a last minute replacement.

Another forced change to an upcoming Bellator card is the withdrawal of Julia Budd from her fight with Marloes Coenen which was due to take place for the inaugural Bellator Women’s Featherweight title on Bellator 155 but with Budd withdrawing, that’s no longer the case. Coenen will instead face Alexis Dufrense in a non-title featherweight fight. The fight will serve as the featured prelim before the Bellator 155 Main Card.
