Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett was born on January 3, 1995. Pimblett was born, and has grown up in Liverpool, England. Making his professional debut in October of 2012, it didn’t take the 22-year-old long to hit the big time. 259 days after his debut, Pimblett made his debut under the Cage Warriors banner, extending his record to 4-0.

“The Baddy” made his professional debut as a young, short haired scouser as he faced Nathan Thompson, who had a 37-fight experience advantage. After a first round stoppage, Pimblett faced Dougie Scott and picked up his second consecutive first round stoppage. The Next Generation MMA Product then stopped Jack Drabble in under one minute to extend his record to 3-0.

That was when the Cage Warriors debut came. On the preliminary card, fighting as a bantamweight, Pimblett defeated Florian Calin by decision at Cage Warriors 56. Already gathering a following, he faced Cameron Else at Cage Warriors 60. Just :35 seconds in, Pimblett was stopped; Else scored a first round submission after choking Pimblett unconscious with a d’arce choke. After rebounding with two victories over Martin Sheridan and Conrad Hayes, and scoring a spectacular flying triangle win in the latter, Pimblett made his featherweight debut.

After wins over Stephen Martin, Kevin Petshi and Miguel Haro under the FCC banner, “The Baddy” took the biggest scalp of his career when he defeated Ashleigh Grimshaw at Cage Warriors 75. After that, Teddy Violet stood in his way, and after a tough, back and forth fight, Pimblett scored a second round submission, and uttered the famous words “Scousers don’t get knocked out”.

Then came Cage Warriors 78, where the Liverpudlian got to fight in front of his own at the Echo Arena. With the raucous atmosphere spurring him on, Pimblett scored a first round stoppage, and won the vacant Cage Warriors Featherweight Championship. Paddy made the first defence of his belt last time out as he defeated Julian Erosa in a close contest via Decision.
