Following on from yesterday’s announcement that Josh Thomson would no longer be facing Michael Chandler at Bellator 154 as reported here, Bellator have acted quickly to add a new fight to the card, which is scheduled to take place on May 14. Instead of an opponent being announced for Chandler, Bellator have pulled the fight altogether and announced a heavyweight fight between Sergei Kharitonov and Josh Appelt.
Both fighters come into this fight on the back of wins, with Kharitonov knocking out four of his last five opponents and Appelt beating Roy Boughton in his last fight for the WFC heavyweight title.
