Chris Fields and Andrew Clamp were set to compete for the BAMMA Light Heavyweight Championship at BAMMA 27 tomorrow, but the fight has been removed due to medical reasons.

BAMMA officials announced the news during the weigh ins earlier.

Fields (11-7-1) and Clamp (8-1) were set to compete for the title, which was vacated by former champ Paul Craig upon signing with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Fields is coming off a first round submission victory over Dan Konecke while Clamp is coming off a No Contest against Bakary El Anwar, in a fight he originally won by submission. Prior to the results, Clamp was riding a two fight win streak.

It is unclear what the exact reasoning was, but The Sprawl have reached out to BAMMA, but, as of now, don’t have a response.

UPDATE: It has been confirmed that it was Andrew Clamp who couldn’t compete due to medical reasons, but the reasons are still unknown.
