44-9_Former WEC Bantamweight Champion and UFC veteran Miguel Torres has officially announced his retirement from mixed martial arts competition.

The 36-year-old announced the news on Facebook.

Torres (44-9) went 6-2 as a WEC fighter, before joining the UFC and amassing a record of 2-2. As well as those two promotions, the BJJ black belt has fought under illustrious banners such as WSOF and Titan FC. In his most recent outing, Torres submitted Lloyd Carter in the first round of their bout at United Combat League 3.
