A welterweight scrap between Roan Carneiro and Kenny Robertson has been added to UFC Fight Night 94, which takes place in Hidalgo, Texas.

Roan Carneiro announced the bout on social media.

Carneiro (20-10 MMA, 3-4 UFC) first made an octagon appearance in April of 2007, where he defeated Rich Clementi via decision. In his first run with the promotion, Carneiro went 2-3, with his only other victory coming over Tony DeSouza and the losses coming to Jon Fitch, Kevin Burns and Ryo Chonan respectively. “Jucao” was given a second chance in the UFC at UFC 184, where he choked Mark Munoz unconscious. Following the win, Carneiro faced Derek Brunson in February of 2016, but was stopped in the first round.

Robertson (15-4 MMA, 5-4 UFC) made his UFC debut coming off a submission win at Bellator 25, but was stopped by Mike Pierce in the second round. The American then had one fight outside of the UFC before returning, and again losing, this time to Aaron Simpson July of 2012. Robertson was given another chance, as he faced Brock Jardine at UFC 157, winning the bout with a modified knee bar in the first round. Robertson then faced Sean Pierson at UFC 161, but lost the bout via majority decision. Following the loss, Robertson went on a three fight win streak, with a submission over Thiago Perpetuo, a decision over Ildemar Alcantara and a knockout win over Sultan Aliev. Robertson attempted to make it four in a row at UFC on FOX 16, but lost a split decision to Ben Saunders.

UFC Fight Night 94 takes place live from Hidalgo, Texas on Sept. 17. The card is set to be headlined by a lightweight match-up between Dustin Poirier and Michael Johnson.
