A middleweight contest between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans and Dan Kelly is set for UFC 209.

The fight was initially reported by ESPN, and MMAFighting.com later confirmed it.

Evans (19-5-1) has lost four of his past six fights, with three of them coming via decision. Prior to them losses, “Suga” had lost only once in his career. Evans has fought all but one of his UFC bouts at light heavyweight; in his debut, at The Ultimate Fighter 2 Finale, he won the tournament at heavyweight. In his most recent outing, the 37-year-old was stopped by Glover Teixiera in just over one minute.

Kelly (12-1) has only one professional loss, and that came in his third UFC bout against Sam Alvey, when he was knocked out in 49-seconds. Prior to that loss, Kelly won two in a row, one via submission and one via decision. Following the loss, the 39-year-old has picked up three straight wins.

UFC 209 takes place live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 4th, 2017. The event is set to be headlined by a welterweight title fight between current champion Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson.
