UFC Light Heavyweight Nikita Krylov has been released by the promotion. It was announced last night that “The Miner” would no longer be fighting under the promotion.

Mike Bohn of MMAJunkie released the news.

Krylov (21-5 MMA, 6-3 UFC) fought in the heavyweight division prior to signing with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. His first two octagon appearances were at heavyweight, where he went 1-1. He moved down to 205lbs and made his debut there at UFC 171, but was choked unconscious by Ovince Saint Preux. He rebounded from the loss by stopping Cody Donovan, Stanislav Nedkov, Marcos Rogerio de Lima, Francimar Barroso and Ed Herman conseccutively. In his most recent outing, Krylov was submtited by Misha Cirkunov at UFC 206.

It is unclear where the 24-year-old goes from here but after going 6-3 with the UFC and exciting fans with almost every performance, there will likely be some big named promotions after him.
