Englishman Marc “Bonecrusher” Diakiese made his third UFC appearance last night at UFC Fight Night 107 in London, and put on the most impressive performance of his short UFC career.

Diakiese’s first bout in the world famous octagon came against Lukasz Sajewski, and after a quick start, Diakiese stopped the Pole in the second round. “Bonecrusher” then defeated Frankie Perez after a heated exchange between the two at weigh ins.

For this camp, we saw Diakiese head out to American Top Team for his training camp. He travelled over to the gym in Florida alongside ASW team mate Scott Askham, who also fought last night.

If you watched Diakiese prior to his UFC signing, you would have known that he’s athletic, and has a powerful right hand. In this fight we really saw the evolution that American Top Team has brought into Diakiese. In the 30-seconds that he was fighting, Diakiese landed a two touch spinning kick (which we’ve never seen him throw), a spinning back kick to the body, and of course that over hand right that finished the fight.

At 24-years-old, the former Lonsdale Lightweight Champion is improving every time he steps inside the gym. American Top Team has really done wonders for his game, and it was evident last night. Training with some of the most experienced, skilled and well known fighters in the world, it’s not only Diakiese’s skill level that is rising quickly.

The confidence of the now Doncaster native is soaring, and it was a thing he noted in his post fight interview, saying that the camp at ATT had truly made him believe he is the best in the world and can beat anybody in the lightweight division.
