In his promotional debut, the Brazilian faced fellow countryman and top contender Raphael Assuncao at UFC 212, but after a close fight, Moraes was on the wrong end of a split decision.

UFC Fight Night 120 takes place live from the Ted Constant Convocation Centre in Norfolk, Virginia, on November 11, 2017. The card is set to be headlined by a lightweight contest between Anthony Pettis and Dustin Poirier.
