We see controversial decisions in the UFC a fair bit, but how often do we see a fighter that has won, say he disagrees with the decision? Before tonight, I can’t remember the last time.

Joe Lauzon and Marcin Held went three round tonight, and it was the verdict across Twitter that Held had won the fight 29-28, but when Joe Lauzon’s name was read out, there was a lot of confusion. Straight away, Lauzon began to shake his head, and it was clear he knew he didn’t win that fight.

In his post fight interview inside the octagon with Jon Anik, the 32-year-old said “That for sure weren’t my fight. I got screwed in my last fight, it sucks, that weren’t my fight.” Certainly a very classy move by Lauzon, but that still doesn’t take the loss of Held’s record.

The loss, which is Held’s second in a row, drops his UFC record to 0-2 and his overall record to 22-6, while Lauzon improves to 27-12.
