A women’s strawweight fight between Scotland’s Joanne Calderwood and Cynthia Calvillo has been announced for UFC Fight Night 113, which takes place in Glasgow.

The promotion announced the news over social media.

Calderwood (11-2) is looking to get back into the win column, as in her last bout she was submitted by Jessica Andrade in the first round of their bout at UFC 203. Prior to that, “Dr. Kneevil” was riding a two fight win streak, with victories over Cortney Casey and Valerie Letourneau.

Calvillo (5-0) has made waves since signing with the UFC, and is already a fan favourite just two fights in. The TAM product signed with the promotion with a record of just 3-0, but quickly impressed fans as she hastily dispatched of Amanda Cooper at UFC 209, picking up a first round rear naked choke victory. She then faces Pearl Gonzalez at UFC 210, and after an action packed fight, scored her second consecutive rear naked choke victory, securing the win in the third round.

UFC Fight Night 113 takes place live from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on July 16, 2017. The card is set to be headlined by a welterweight bout between Gunnar Nelson and Santiago Ponzinibbio.
