A middleweight contest between Thiago Santos and Jack Hermansson has been booked for UFC Fight Night 119.

The promotion announced the bout on Monday morning.

Hermansson (16-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC) was the Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion prior to signing with the UFC; the Swede debuted in the promotion with a decision win over Scott Askham, before dropping a submission loss to Cezar Ferreira. Rebounding from the loss, “The Joker” stopped Alex Nicholson and Brad Scott.

Santos (15-5 MMA, 7-4 UFC) has scored some big wins in his UFC tenure thus far, including a violent head kick knockout over Steve Bosse, and a come-back win against Elias Theodorou. The other names he has defeated are Ronny Markes, Andy Enz, Nate Marquardt, Jack Marshman and Gerald Meerschaert.

UFC Fight Night 119 takes place live from the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo, Brazil on October 28, 2017. The card is set to be headlined by a middleweight match-up between Lyoto Machida and Derek Brunson.
