After UFC Bantamweight contender Jimmie Rivera opted not to fight short notice replacement Marlon Vera, and pulled himself from the card, there was a hole waiting to be filled on the UFC Phoenix main card.

It has been confirmed today that the main card slot, which was left open following Rivera’s withdrawal, has been filled by a flyweight contest between John Moraga and Sergio Pettis.

It’s not just as simple as one fight being bumped up, though, as that then left a hole on the televised preliminary card. Devin Powell, who was discovered on Dana White’s ‘Lookin’ for a Fight’ is set to make his promotional debut this weekend, as he faces Drakkar Klose. The lightweight bout between the two has been promoted from the UFC Fight Pass Preliminary card to the televised preliminary card.

UFC Fight Night 103 takes place live from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona on January 15, 2017. The card is set to be headlined by a featherweight bout between Yair Rodriguez and BJ Penn.
