A middleweight contest between Elias Theodorou and Brad Tavares is official for The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale.

The bout was announced by UFC officials on Wednesday.

Theodorou (13-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) started his UFC career with three straight wins, defeating Sheldon Wescott to win The Ultimate Fighter: Nations tournament, before picking up wins over Bruno Santos and Roger Narvaez. His first career loss came to Thiago Santos, where he dropped a decision. Since the loss, the Canadian has defeated Sam Alvey and Cezar Ferreira.

Tavares (14-4 MMA, 9-3 UFC) went 2-1 in his first three octagon bouts, before stringing together five straight wins, taking names such as Tom Watson and Lorenz Larkin. That run was snapped by a decision loss to Yoel Romero, which was followed by a TKO loss to Tim Boetsch. The 29-year-old rebounded from the successive losses by defeating Nate Marquardt, before losing to Robert Whittaker. In his most recent outing, Tavares defeated Caio Magalhaes by split decision.

The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale takes place live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 7, 2017.
